Thanks for posting these items.

The paragraph titled "Independents Increase Share of Car Market" gives an indication of why none of the independent companies managers were interested in mergers when George Mason came around with that proposal in those immediate postwar years. The seller's market was a fool's paradise which would all be demonstrate in a short four to six years.
