Keith, I cut a lot of stuff. This morning I used my old horizontal bandsaw to cut a 1/2 in thick x 6" wide aluminum plate. Yesterday it was steel stock in various sizes. My current saw is on its last legs and making strange noises. It was a relatively inexpensive Taiwan made saw I bought 40+ years ago. It has been decent and have got my money's worth but looking to move on. The current HF version of the one I have is junk so wanting to do better. Aside from needing a decent capacity I also would like it to be able to be used vertically with an aux table like the one I have. That part is what limits the choices and makes it hard to find a good one at a price I want to pay.
