Was the R11 OD something you or a previous owner installed? R11 solenoids are not that hard to find and Max should be able to supply one but if you have an original to the car OD the stock 39 unit is the one year only R6 and the solenoids are very different. The R6 solenoid body excluding the plunger is fairly flat at about 2" or so compared to the much longer at about 4" R9 solenoids used from 40-48 and R11s used from 48 onward.

Here are illustrations of the different solenoids. R6 is 39 only. R9 and R11 are similar in body appearance -- outward difference being the R9 has 4 terminals and the R11 has 2 terminals. Other differences are internal and in plunger length.
