Re: Identification of Packard transmissions

LTRD, was your question meant to pertain only to the automatic transmissions?

Here's the rear of the case of a 1956 Caribbean Twin Ultra with Utica # C1107; the meaning of the 31579 and LGS remain unknown, to me at least. Anyone know what they indicate?

HH56, I have often wondered if there may be an error with the transmission code letters you noted. Note the flip-flop relative to the Utica engine codes, one would think Packard wanted the letters for both the engines and transmissions to correspond.
