Yes and no. The Henney-Packards had tougher gears to handle the three-ton weight and it has been my personal observation that all 1951 through 1954 Henney-Packards had OD transmissions even if the option was not ordered. It it were ordered, a different rear end ratio would be used and all the electrical and hardware OD bits would be installed.

The point is, a Henney transmission would work fine in a passenger car but probably not a good idea the other way around. If anyone has a Henney transmission, I'm looking for one!
