Packard V12 1939 limo Gauges

Hi All,

I am looking for some advice. I have attached a photo of my gauges from my Packard. This photo shows a centre gauge with a black 'Packard Twelve' badge in the middle of it. Around the outside you can clearly see some numbers that were around the edge but these have since faded off. Does any one know what this centre gauge is mean to be? also, what are the chrome knobs either side of this gauge meant to do?

Also, if I attach some other images of dashboards I have got from the web I can also see some other irregularities. My clock has 'round clear hands' on it rather than 'needle point hands'. But...yet my speedo has the usual 'needle point hand' rather than a round one. Was this standard? Perhaps my clock isn't original to the vehicle??

(I have attached an image of a speedo with the 'round clear hands', the same as all gauges in this image, I have also attached an image of a speedo with 'needle point hands' on all gauges. Mine appears to have a mix of both types.

Thanks for your help.

Cheers

Rowan
