Hello, I have a question regarding the engine for 5699-1001. I am friends with the most recent owner of 5699-1001. He bought it in a package containing it, 5699-1210 and a '56 400 donor car. He wants to sell me 5699-1210 with as many parts as possible.

5699-1210 was disassembled almost entirely during the late 90's by a T. Ullman here in Sweden, however it was auctioned off a few years ago after he ended up getting dementia.

Afterwards it ended up in the possession of the person who owned 5699-1001 and the donor 400.

When it was auctioned off there were plenty of parts for the engine present. The issue is however, that now when having gone through the parts for it that remain today, the majority of them are nowhere to be seen.

Only few pieces remain out of what was originally with it, and the crankshaft which was still there is for an Edsel 410 engine, previous owner seems to have two crankshafts though (no idea whether they are correct).

So, then, my question is, is it possible any of the parts that came with the engine for 5699-1210 were used up in the restoration of the engine for 5699-1001? Or did my friend simply get fooled when he bought the 3 cars as a package?

I can list what remains (that I've found thus far) and also link the auction page which has the pictures if it would be helpful.
