Try another tire store(s).
I had that issue on my P/U once. the tire place put in too long stems with a set of tires, all they had in stock. I got them changed at another tire shop later.
I'm not sure what size the P rims take. Haven't dealt with that one as there's different styles, the rubber pop-in and the steel threaded. Mine were OK.
