Betty White made TV debut in '39 in Packard Corporate Office Building

I watched an interview with the late Betty White. The interviewer asked her about her first TV appearance.

Betty said that as a teen she was part of singing group that appeared on a "closed circuit" TV show in one of the boardrooms of the Packard Corporate Office Building in Chicago in 1939. Individuals in the lobby could watch the show on what amounted to a postage-stamp-size monitor.
