Engines I have known and loved. Driven. I have noticed that the ones which used the least oil all ran on thinner oil, and the other spec'd thicker oil. Ergo, my tendency, come oil change time, will be to err to lower viscosity.


Your cardiologist put you on blood thinners because thinner blood is easier to pump, right? Think about it . . . .
