Name: Dezi
Age : 50

I have been an "old" car nut since my teens. A car nut much longer (when many of our vehicles were just used cars). I seem to have an affinity for independents. My first car was a 1968 Rambler American. I also had a 1974 AMC Gremlin with a 304 V8. Wouldn't mind owning a Hudson or Studebaker one day.

Currently owned Packards:

1937 120 Touring Sedan - Bought in 1979 (rust bucket good drivetrain)

1937 120 Torunig Sedan - Bought in 1996 (good body, no interior)

1953 Caribbean - Bought in 1999 (unrestored survivor, maintaining and refurbishing while we enjoy driving it)

I joined the Packard Club in 1979 and was among the youngest members at the Motor City Packards meetings. 30 years later and I am still among the youngest members at the Packards of Chicagoland meetings.

There is hope however. My duaghters (ages 17 and 14) go with me to most car shows and can spot Packards right off. My 14 year old is helping me restore one 1937 120 from the two.
