If you didn't get the info at time of possession, I doubt you'll be able to find that info without a huge effort and may still end up short.
Most states won't give it out even if they got it. You're talking over 90 years ago when registration documents weren't that good, if at all, and paper and a company that's been defunct for over 60 years. The co. records were spread over several entities due to the mergers/moves. There was a fire at some point I'm told. They often didn't even register cars back then, state dependent.
Personally, I don't know that it makes a difference, but this seems to be a common theme with some owners. "Post facto documentation".
You can try to contact, by mail, the NE DMV and see if records exist. I wouldn't hold my breathe with the speed of response of some of these state govt orgs.
Also there's "PAC", packardclub.org, where you can ask that group.
As they say curiosity led to the cat's demise.
