Re: Help identifying a 3spd transmission

I went out gathering equipment for various projects today...did NOT have any luck with a transmission fluid. Seems NAPA up here does not carry the Sta Lube 140. None of the automotive shops (Canadian Tire/Partssource/WarehouseServices/Lordco etc) had anything comparable either.

On a hunch, I tried Gregg Distributors. Their oil specialist recommended an Extreme Pressure ISO 150 rated gearbox/transfer case oil used in heavy, heavy industry. It does not have a Limited Slip/LS additive package in it. I'm trying to find someone who uses it locally to sell me a quart or two as it only comes in 5 gallon pails.

Other than that...I'm not sure of another locally available alternative. Haven't given up yet...there are several obscure automotive outlets I'm going to hunt down over the next week. Worst case scenario, I'll see if I can find someone in the US to ship me some Sta Lube.
