I know this was answered before but I can't find it. What are the differences in the 1953-1956 Bendix-Treadlevac Master Brake Cylinder and how can one tell them apart? (Yes, I know that 1952 was the first year but it's easily identifiable.)

I ask because I have a core I want to rebuild for my 1956 which I understood is from a '55 or '56 and want to know if it's the proper one. Someone (Howard, as I recall) said something about a stamping on the casing but I can find nothing there.

Don, this thread has some info on identification on page 5 (which the link should take you to), including a table out of the Bendix catalog: Treadlevac Thread
There probably is more info pertaining to ID'ing the units, but I didn't look thru the other 16 pages!
