PAC site question

The PAC website has a new very basic home page so am curious if the site is undergoing a major revision or is having issues and is in a temporary state. Currently it also seems a decision was made to restrict access in several areas to PAC members only.

If there are issues then I guess patience will sort things out but if a decision was made on high to restrict access to information and particularly to the forum, to me it seems like a step in the wrong direction. It is not like the PAC forum has heavy traffic but some of the posts and content could help others. I have referred people from this site to the PAC site and forum if a post had a good answer and if members only is the new policy, would no longer be possible.

If restricting access is permanent and meant to combat the increasing spam that was getting on the forum, it seems a very heavy handed way to try and control it and reminiscent of a once very popular forum some years back that started adding heavy restrictions only to see its use drop to almost nothing.
