Just got my copy in as well... February 2010 issue of Hemmings Classic Car is all about Packards...gorgeous. I think at least 70% or more of this issue is dedicated to Packards.

There _is_ a couple of 56's in this issue, albeit a small article from Paul Cornwell of Las Vegas, Nevada on page 63 and Edwin Plummer of Mexia, Texas, both Packard Patricians...

In a photo supporting the article for the 48 Packard Custom Eight on page 52, there's a shield that looks to be custom built to shield the fuel filter and carb from the exhaust / intake manifold...I should try that.

What I especially like about this issue is that even the smaller articles in the middle of the magazine are about packards...

The photos are gorgeous. The detail photo of the head of the 1954 Pacific is excellent, on page 39.

My recommendation is to run out to the nearest book store and see if they have this magazine on the rack, and purchase a copy or two.

I'm still drooling. Ooops. Sorry.
