Had a delightful reminder of the quality available in days gone by. I bought a set of main bearings for my 50 Studebaker in .020 under off of ebay. They were in their original carton date-stamped February of 1953. Each bearing shell was individually smeared with grease that was still soft and wrapped in grease proof paper. The sensation of unwrapping and then installing the shells was very much like getting a red bicycle under the tree on Christmas morning. Drove the car to the next city for shopping and dinner this evening......
