Shipping charges to France from North America would be very expensive. I have bought my last two batteries for my '47 Super Clipper from a farm equipment supplier also so I would try there. There is a slighly larger size with more starting power. I believe it is a 3E which also fits the bracket but just barely. This battery size was used in tractors and road paving machines etc. here so probably also used in Europe. Good luck and if I can be of any help let me know.
