Ahmedabad 40 Packard

There is a car museum in Ahmedabad I am going to try to make on my next trip.

Interesting story on his 40 Packard. It was the family car and with the war coming on the British governor wanted to impress it as his car.

The mother (all for the bloody English getting the heck out of India) hid it in amongst cotton bales in a shipment to Baroda. Baroda (now two hours drive south) was a Princely state and somewhat out of the reach of the British governor.

It's still in the family and joined with 100 or so other cars in this guy's museum.

I'll try to get some pictures.
