Weeks ago my Russian translator (she comes from Latvia) visited the ZIL factory museum in Moscow and asked for access to the archive. The managerial personnel refused to reveal any document on the basis that ZIL is an armaments company. It hadn't been the first attempt, it won't be the last attempt.
