No, I haven't yet spoken again to the gentleman who has the board meeting minutes, but I have done some other investigating which seems to reject the hypothesis that the tag shown in post #20 of this thread is an early pre-war Briggs tag. I've looked at 3 41 senior Packards with conventional (but not LeBaron) bodies, and no tag - so, so far so good. Then I looked at another 41 LeBaron and no tag though there was a rivet hole were it might have been expected and I couldn't see if there was a second hole as it's probable location was covered by the horn bracket. And then I did have a friend examine is his 1942 Clipper and it had no tag. If the thinking was correct, the 2nd LeBaron and the 42 Clipper would have had a tag like that in post #20. That kind of leaves it all uncertain again as for now.
