Several questions...

Just got my new head gasket from Kanter and my brother-in-law wants to know if he should paint it with silver paint??? I have no idea what he is talking about, any ideas?

Also I need to address two things while she is out of commission. I want to add a second hood prop to the car and I noticed I need the cover/ flap/ whatever that covers the hole behind the battery is missing. I imagine water could enter the engine compartment via that hole if left as is. Does anyone know where those can be bought?
