This is out of the June 54 issue of service counselor. Wonder if it pertains with your slower engine. Probably not, but at least it gives the speed DD is supposed to drop out. Lots of articles mentioning a dirty governor may be causing slow DD dropout. Believe governor is one thing Ross has mentioned checking early on with any DD problems.
