The numbers indicate that it is an R11 Borg Warner overdrive. They didn't get used on Packards until mid '49 The input shaft looks to be of the small variety which idicates it was used on the smaller engines 288 and 327.
The shift levers aren't correct for 48 - 50 cars.
Large numbers of these transmissions were used on hot rods in the 50s and 60s. My guess would be that is the reason for the odd shift levers. I'm not that familiar with later model Packards so I guess they could be correct for one of those.
In any case it should work fine for the bathtub Packards.
