Re: 4th july

I always enjoy driving in July 4th parades and often have a rider, a Vet or local senior citizen. Today the club sent me to River Edge NJ, a parade that really draws the enthusiastic spectators and makes it much more of a pleasure.

I took the 56 Carib; temperatures were about 98 degrees and the route of perhaps 1 mile took just over 1 hour, creeping along with regular stops. The 55/56 Pack have by my experiences a very competent cooling system, temperature didn't even get to halfway on the gauge (about 180 by IR gun), and never a hint of vapor lock. I've had the car in more strenuous heat conditions than this and must say the cooling system for the car is more than up to the task, but it's a bit tough on the driver. But a couple of cold "frosties" will cure that.

Happy 4th, guys.
