Ouch, that is a steep price. Just did my nephew's Model A Ford and they use these on the rear doors. This is the link for the 7" one used on the trucks and deliver doors, and less than $6 each.https://www.mikes-afordable.com/product/A162592-7.html

There is also a 6" one used on the cars on the same site.
Worth a look I would think, you may have to rework the ends but they are very strong straps. I have also seen a set in a car at a show that the owner cut out of used truck flaps, could not tell.
