Re: No more speedo

HH Thought that you would like to know the speedo went in just fine and works great. Mounting the face was much easier after I found a little spring loaded screw holder, everything is magnetic nowadays designed for these new plastic cars and they can't hold the part steady, too much metal to stick to on the old ones. I guess that this topic can be archived. Thanks for your help.

Hi and Welcome Dan. I have a 1941 120 that I have started a complete restoration. I do not know where to send you for an engine. Maybe some of the pre-war swap meets might lend a little success or an ad in one of the packard club publications or even Hemmings.

Hudson used their own engines through out the life of the company, save '55 and up until May, '56, when they used Packard V8s. Nash, the same years and engines.

True, but you could still get the old Hudson L-6 308 in 55 and 56, and it was a wonderful engine.

The transmission adapter company offers one for a Hudson 308. Didn't Hudson use Packard engines? The photo looks very close.

Howard,

I'm with you in that I thought I saw an exploded parts view on a PackardInfo post some days ago. The view on Page 12 of Yesterdaysradio catalog doesn't look like the one I remember seeing.

Up and running, congratulations!

Now for the "maiden voyage" to the car show and take plenty of pic's of her and any other Packards there.

There is an exploded drawing on page 12 of Yesterdays Radioyesterdaysradio.com/ catalog. It shows the mounting pieces but not the internal workings. That's probably the article or view I remembered seeing yesterday.

Re: Installation of Fabric Top Insert

Home away from home

Tom (Packin31)
LeBaron Bonney did not send any instructions they don't want to be held liable if roof material is installed wrong. Their installation directions are for Fords ONLY.

Here is a list of materials I purchased from them
Denim
Cotton
Black colonial grain (T-5)
Wire-on
Nails
Also purchased Rain Gutters, Fender Welting and Split Rivets

If anyone has any input on the best installation method. I would really appreciate it also.
