I try not to make this platform an advertisement, but since I’m already answering the water pump kit question, I might as well let you know that Max Merritt ships Packard parts globally every day. Let me know if you would like our help.

Chris and Mike are available later this morning (its 2AM Eastern). You can reach me at mike@packartdparts.com or you may call me at 317.seven 36 6two33, ext 103.
I’ll send you a packardinfo pm in a few hours. I am generally in the office by 7AM Eastern. If you want a call back include a phone number and best time to call. Our goal is keeping Packard on the road.

My 1951 Patrician was creating a click making me think I had a stuck valve lifter. The local PAC club's technical expert diagnosed the problem as a leaking exhaust manifold gasket. He was correct.

Based on great internet photos, I made a deposit on a similar Patrician many years ago. I can't find the VIN of that car. In that case the original 9 main bearing 327 engine had been replaced by a 288. The seller was unaware of the engine replacement. I wanted the correct engine. Ask for the engine number if the 327 9 main bearing is important to you.

someone posted this website sometime ago:

Cannot vouch for its accuracy, but an extensive website.

Congrats on locating the windshield.
As a point of disclosure, I am helping Max Merritt at this time.
Max Merritt is constantly receiving new inventory.
I checked the inventory today and we have an NOS tint windshield with filter for the 1953 Clipper Custom Touring Sedan. The windshield may be sold tomorrow but MM will have more NOS and used windshields as inventory becomes available.
Best wishes with your 1953 Clipper.

Kev, anyone who starts out as a Packard novice and then develops a plan and learns to restore the complicated systems of a 1954 Packard has a huge advantage over the rest of us. I have confidence that you can develop and successfully execute a plan to manage your health problem. Much success for you.
