Thanks, I did check this under the main menu first. The part number listed as you referred to is a 12 inch version of 33-111 that I found on the internet. As the author suggests it may fit others, but it will be to long for my car.

hello folks; On a 23rd series 1950. What is a good replacement wiper blade. After doing my own checking it looks like a Trico 33-111 might fit, but at $25.00 a piece I don't want to be guessing. Plus I don't think they look as nice as the straight ones for a flat windshield do.

Any ideas?

Yes; there is. I just put one in my 23rd series. It fits perfect. It is reversible. I purchased mine through joe's antique auto parts for $50>00. www.joesantiqueauto.com The only minor issue is the mounting bolts are a smaller diameter than the Packard. I just found a couple of washers the right diameter for the bolt and tacked them in place on the ring before replacing the rubber vibration grommets. The shaft is 1/4, but it comes with a shaft sleeve to make it 5/16.

P.S. There is only one 6v motor out there. It is made in Canada. I found this same motor marketed for a Ford, Chevy, Jeep, from $50.00 to $130.00

Just a question out of curiosity. In the 22nd and 23rd series cars. 120 inch wheel base, and 127 inch wheel base. Where did Packard put the additional 7 inches?. I know on my 1956 they added it behind the back glass, making the rear longer. Just curious.

Hi, I got my used manifolds shipped to me today.Thought I share a few pic's with you. I very pleased with them. No major pitting and still very smooth. They came with the carb still attached, even the oven box flapper moves freely. These are off a 1952, 327 engine. For my 23rd series, Super 8, with a 327 engine. I see there is a large vacuum port I'll need to plug. I'll try to send some pictures

Good News; I did find an intake and exhaust set up on a 1951 300 or 400 the person was will to part with for a very reasonable cost. Plus he is going to take them off for me at no extra cost. I thank you all for your advise, and information.

Good News. I did find a 327 intake and exhaust manifold set off a 1951 400. I called the gentlemen today. We made the deal, and I found him to be very reasonable $ 150.00 for the set up, plus he's taking it off for me!. I thank you all for your information, especially Ross, for his simple easy answer to my questions. I really appreciate everyone's input, and the wonderful group here at Packard info.

Ross. My 50 does not have Hydrualic lifters, I'm sure the 52 would. Even though the intake manifold would be slightly smaller in diameter, do you precieve any real issues with the swap. My thought was to get another exhaust and Intake manifold as a set. Have them planed as a set. Pull the old ones off and put the new ones on in the same day. If you feel the 288 ones would not work correctly, I'll wait until I can find a set for a 327.

In the reference book I found so far.
Compression 7 to 1 both. Cam bearings 5, both. Crank 5 mains both. Journal Dia, 2.7465 both. Connecting rods journal dia, 2.250 both. Piston pin size 3 1/64 x 7/8" both. Distributor AutoLite and Delco same for both cars. Bore 3 1/2 both. The only difference so far is the stroke. The 288 is 3 3/4, and the 327 is 4 1/4. So far so good.

Anymore info would be great!
