i saw in the picture car has a rubber hose from the fuel pump to carb, sooner or later that clamp will leak, could spray gas on a exhaust manifold cause a fire, its ok have rubber hose behind the fuel pump but not in front of it, u have pressure there

ill get the responders started ,why u using base clear if its a solid color ? im not sure how a 37 hood hinge is ,im doing a 41 hood now and i taped the hinge so no buildup of primer and paint, i did a 33 plymouth and ran into to the problem ur trying to prevent ,its a tight fit and further u have to slide the hood and sides ,the tighter it gets, so be careful

Fish,n,Jim is correct on what he stated, hes not steering u wrong on it,it boils down to how much money a guy wants to spend on something u cant see? to put medal in there is expensive, i just did 2 doors on a 57 Tbird that was just as bad,i sandblasted and then put duraglass on the bottoms, after painted i put grease on the inside on the bottoms,i would fix what u have
