Do you happen to have photos of the 55 you can post? There was only one blue 55 in the area that i know of when my uncle and i had our shop. We worked on it some, and it was a pretty solid car from what i remember. I'm wondering if it's the same car.

Bob Aller's 54 is a Caribbean. Black and white, i know the car well. I knew bob and spent quite a bit of time with him and in his shop.

Working on getting the kits to all who want them. they were ready, Utill May 22nd. ALL my Packard stuff was stored in three locations in Joplin Mo. as that is where i'm from. I lost Most all of my Packard stuff. Hope to have my parts selling ability back in operation by end of summer.

if the trim rings are from a 55 400, the clock ring will be the wrong size. 56 clocks are a larger dia than 55's. there was also white cloth behind the mesh that should be replaced. there is a huge difference in the apperance of the dash between ones that have had the cloth replaced and ones that have not. if the interior of the car is gutted like you said earlier, the dash would be a lot easier to work on if it was unbolted and laying on the floor. that's how i do all my dash work. once i found out how easy a packard dash is to "drop", its the only way i'll work on one now!

blocks don't seem to be to hard to come by. on the other hand, i'd love to have a pallet of 2x4 intakes! or standard shift bellhousings!
