I stored both front and rear lying flat. but be careful, I leaned on the rear glass accidently trying to get something and snapped it in half!

Thanks to all. I'll stick with black for the time being.

What color where the rims on the 2 dr, 55 Custom Clipper Constellation? Did the body color dictate the rim color or were they all the same color, black in my case?
TIA,
John

My guess would be license plate light.

Drop the pan and remove the crankshaft. If it is on an engine stand, turn upside down and soak pistons with penetrating oil from the bottom. You can then use wood block on connecting rod to tap pistons out of the block.

Thanks for the info. I used my regular impact but couldn't break them loose and wanted to verify thread direction before trying again, or with a stronger impact gun.

Are the flex plate bolts for my 55 Constellation, V8, standard right hand thread or reversed left hand thread? Have been unable to remove the bolts and I don't want to chance breaking any.
Thanks.

Re the gasket, I meant the rear glass gasket. As far as the head gaskets, I just got the whole set from Kanter for my 55.

Where did you find the rear window and where did you source the gasket?

Jack,
Somehow, I missed your reply until today. I don't recall exactly where I found the info, but I will research my files and see if I can locate it.
Did you have any luck finding any .010 mains? I'm about ready to order some .020 from Kanter and take them and my crank to the machine shop to have the mains turned to fit. I'd rather stick with the .010 but it is what it is.
My only other option would be to go for a small block motor and trans option, but I'm leery about the crossover problems since I really don't want to have to permanently alter the frame.
