Another concern might be time, I know in my area, a good restoration shop, you might have to wait for a long time. Had my car stripped and painted, got on the list, waited a year. There is another restoration shop that I called had a 2 year waiting list and would not even take my name
Good luck with it

My 36 does not have a drivers side door lock. I was told that you were suppose to lock the handle from the inside and slide over to the passenger side, get out and lock the door.
Is that something they did in 37?

I have a 36 120 with overdrive and at speeds approaching 65 air gets under it an it starts to float, especially when there is a windy condition on the road. That said, I just came back from a trip to DC on 95, did 60 for 2 hours, people passed me, slowed to see the car ( shouting with their thumbs ) and it was all good. I find that most of the people are doing 75 or 80. I would not recommend a Model T on an interstate but the Packard did not seem to be a problem, probably at 50+ Mph
Good luck with it

Sorry but I search but I did not find an answer to my question, I am sure that has been touched on before

1936 120

Bought SAE 80-90 GL5 for my trans, steering box etc. It says that I should use GL1. Can I use this?

Bought SAE 85-140 GL5 for my differential. It says that I should use GL1. Can I use this?
Thanks again
Will

While inspecting my 36 120 Cov/coupe for the upcoming Packard Nationals, I found a broken rear leaf spring and I want to replace it before I make the trip to Va. I am thinking I will try all the local truck shops first.
Does any one have a lead on some where that has quality leaf spring for my car? This car is a driver (not a museum display), I put an average of 1500 mile on it a year, might be more this year

Thanks Will
