1955 Packard For Sale Bunker Hill, IN $2,000

Saw this on Facebook Market place. The seller is offering it to pay for a family member's medical expenses. It is up to you to figure out how to make contact. Not mine, no interest, just passing it along. She says the car is located at Bunker Hill, Indiana, about 1 mile east of Grissom Air Force Base.

The Chrysler release on the phaetons is a bit lame IMHO. It cites 1933 Custom Imperial, however the 1932-33 model CL Custom Imperial phaeton does not have a dual cowl, instead it is a dual windshield. whereas the 1931 model CG does have a dual cowl. Someone did not do their homework.

1932 CL pictured.

I loaded up my original 1947 Packard Custom Super Club Sedan 2125-2269 to bring to the swap meet but after seeing a couple of tire issues with the trailer and thinking about the probability of selling it for $12,500 I decided against it.
PM if you are a cash buyer and seriously interested. Dan

Thia may not be relevant but my first 1932 straight eight Chrysler Imperial would die all the time until I discovered the lack of factory heat shields between the intake and exhaust manifolds. Cured the problem.

Attached is a photo of a reproduction by Bill Clark who is the only source I know of for a correct 47 data plate. Very inexpensive.

The '47 data plate was sourced from:

I had good success with Potomac Packard. JP has the Packard wiring blueprints so he can make any Packard wiring harness. Their delivery time is about 8 weeks on a standard Packard wiring order, with the holidays and special orders that can take longer. They can put fog/Trippe light wiring, electric fuel pump wiring, hi-brake light wiring in your harnesses. The harnesses and customer service are top-notch.

Thanks for the insights . .I have to agree with su8overdrive's other comments concerning the "streamlined understatement" of a Clipper; in this example the simple ornament seems better suited.
