Can someone tell me what this is called? It’s on the driver side firewall.

1941 Master Cylinder access

1941 180 with dual side mounts.

Having seen some posts here about later year Packards having an access panel in the floor to get to the master cylinder, I am wondering if there is one on mine. Since I have Dunlap Disease (my stomach dun lapped over my belt) I find it hard to get around the high hood line and in place side mounts to reach that far down. I'll be the first to admit that I haven't put a lot of effort into examining under the hood and the underside of my car to find the answer to this question and I don't see any mention in the owner's manual.

In the Literature archive. You have to expand the search at the bottom of the initial results.

My 37 would do that boat in choppy water action on the front every time I hit a bump or bounced the front bumper. I added jack oil to the front absorbers and it greatly improved all that dipping and diving from the front. It took about 1/3 of a bottle between the two front absorbers so they must have been pretty low. I'm almost certain that I got the inspiration for doing that from this site so there may well be a thread out there about that.

This vendor may also be of some help to you.https://www.applehydraulicsonline.com/collections/packard

Thanks guys. I’m cool with the white walls. They are clean and bright. My question is if anyone knows if that Tire Magic (or similar products), applied to the black rubber of the tire after the fact, would discolor the white wall portion of the tire if it were hit by overspray or drip down. I’m trying to avoid finding out the hard way.

White wall product inquiry

This is not specifically Packard related, although I am looking to use it on my Packards. I have Wide Whites that started yellowing. I have always used, and still use Bleche White. I used it the other day on those yellowing white walls and they are back to being nice and bright.

My question relates to tire shine products. I have a bottle of Black Magic Tire Wet that I want to spray on the black of the tire to shine it up. My question specifically is, does anyone have any idea if it will cause any odd staining if I get it on those now bright whites? I suppose I could just spray it on a cloth or sponge and just wipe it on where needed, but frankly, my legs, knees, and back don't work as well as they used to and even that relatively easy task manages to take a day to recover from. Any one with insight on this? The bottle and their website doesn't say anything about not getting it on white walls.

This show was originally started in the back yard of Tom Kaiser, the Founder of The Florida Packard Club's home along with his longtime friend, Maurice Devereaux, in 1970. It outgrew the location as is now presented by The Sarasota Firefighter's Benevolent Fund.

Hi Dave, last night I stumbled across what I assume is your YouTube video regarding your swapping out of the carb. I will be doing this hopefully soon, and that video (and this thread with everyone's help and pictures) will be a great help. I hope you don't mind, I am including the link for others to see and for me to find again should I somehow lose my book mark.
