I have examined three master cylinder reservoir caps and they all have a pin hole in one of the four corners at the top of the cap. Is this to allow tiny bit of air so the reservoir refills with fluid after braking?

I have these clips but not sure if they are tall enough for rocker panel chrome. They measure 1-1/4" wide by 1-1/8" tall. If they can help you send me a PM.

Roger thank you for the detailed background on Lou Abelove. I can certainly appreciate his passion for collecting cars that spoke to him. He sounds like a great guy and I hope folks like Ross and others continue his legacy of saving these great cars for future enthusiasts to enjoy.
