Re: Wanted - Left & Right Door Mirrors for '56 Patrician

To me I can't see any reason not to use aftermarket mirror on this era of cars. Most all were sold without a factory installed mirror. Some Caddys came with adjustable mirror that came thru door. All mirrors from this time period were of little real value especially on passenger side. I think most were installed for the bling effect. I think a lotof dealers used mirrors the got from part stores To each his own not a big deal to me

We had similar weather here 59 when I got up and 21 when at 11PM As my grandfather use to say normal winter if you don't like wait a day or two. Being optimistic moved snow blower to back of garage and mower near door in prep for spring . Soon time to get cars ready for cruise season he said wishing and hoping

The question I have has anyone used this booster/master cylinder on a drum braked car with torsion level suspension. Brake pedal being higher than stock not a problem in my view as most old cars had brake pedal higher than throttle as well as clutch. Looks like best replacement for tredlevac being new parts as apposed to 68 year old parts .

That is what I was thinking as when top was up if it was on outer side strap would be hanging near rear seat passenger. The picture I posted was supposedly from Pebble Beach Caribbean . Now its clear need to find leather belt to have new belts made for the rechromed hardware Randy had. Shoemaker can sew strap have old ones for pattern . They are like rocks . Thanks for help

Was wondering the correct way for the straps to be installed on the top and the boot brace I assume strap goes on the bottom part rather than hanging from the top. Only picture I can find shows the bracket only on the lower mechanism cover

All of below are my results and feeling of My 57 Clipper and Randy (my) Caribbean radios with dual power antennas. Both radios were rebuilt by army friend of mine both work same way. When in garage will not stop at some of weaker station button is set for. Radio reception not as good when inside garage. Both radios work better with antenna extended. I can not have antennas up all the way and clear garage door. Don't like look of antennas fully extended . For looks I keep them lower and and unplugged from power as they will only be same height when up all way or down. When fully extended remind me of some kind of deep sea fishing boat. When down worry about someone getting eye poked out looking at back of cars
