Boys, my question was very simple: does any user of this website have any information about an 8-45 limousine that is alleged to have belonged to Douglas MacArthur, a video of which is posted on YouTube. Gunnison

Gen. Mac Arthur'8-45 limousine (that's how it's described)

Gents, on YouTube appears a shaky video, apparently taken several years ago, showing an original 8-45 limousine being driven by a young lady. There is no information posted with the video. The background scenery suggests California. Might any reader of this Forum have information about this alleged 8-45 limousine of Douglas MacAthur's, its present owner and location? Thank you.

Gunnison

We inspected and drove your 900 a couple years back when D.G owned it and thought it a fine original car needing some freshening up. As I recall from looking at the data plate the car was sold new by Blair Motor Car Company in Altoona, PA.

Great photo, Jim. Do you know any of the history of your 6-26? In 1959 I owned one with a rear-mounted spare, like yours, that came from around Westfield, NJ. Sold the car in 1960 and never saw or heard of it again. It was a very good original car with virtually flawless interior. Paid $250 and sold it for $400. Those were the days....Many thanks.

These may well be from the Packard Electric in Warren, OH and not from the car company at all. Just a suggestion....

This is a Fifth Series Six Model 5-33 4 passenger coupe. It appears to be the same car that was offered on ebay several years ago. There is another like this in upstate New York. Yet another was known to have been in Kansas some years ago.

Your Packard is a Seventh Series Standard Eight (1930 model year) model 7-33 seven-pasenger sedan. Is there a dealer name and delivery date stamped on the data plate?

What body style is your 7-40 Custom Eight? If a four-door car, open right-rear door and lift up edge of carpet. Fastened to the wood sill should be a small, brass tag on which numbers are stamped. The first three are the body style number of the car. Following those is the production number.
