That is the one. I also am looking for the file that shows photos of the joinery of the 526 5 pax closed car.

I have lost my copy of the Packard body dimensions and photos of the wood joints that I got from this forum a long time ago. I have been trying to search for it but no luck. Can anyone point me in the right direction.

There is a Packard owner in Spain that could use this information as he needs to replace all of his wood.

Lo and behold I ordered an Optima Red Top 6 volt from Advance autoparts on line and got it today. Date says 8/22 so it does not appear to be an old one lying around for a while.
Back in business.

Any suggestions where to find a 6 volt battery to fit my 1928 6 cyl? My Optima has gone into a deep discharge and will not come back to life. I need a replacement but Optima still says not in stock but 'comming soon'.
Have tried all the ways to get mine back to having a charge but no luck.

I know I removed my bracket between the steering column and the instrument panel when disassembling the car but for the life of me I cannot find it. It is now considered missing and I now need one to mount the column.
Does anyone out there have an extra one that I can purchase?

Well it doesn't matter if the VN is incorrect, the sale was a SCAM.
The ad on Trovit was fake and the seller and website was trying to take my money for a car that they did not have. I called the dealer that advertised the car also and he said the car was in his showroom in Denver and the real asking price was $91,000. My bank fraud department took a look at my wire transfer and thought it funny that the bank account was a personal one not a corporate one with the name of the brokerage.
They almost got me. They are now being reported to the authorities.

Outstanding!
I checked some details about the car and you are correct. It is a big block Chevy 502.
I guess I will have to remove that marking.
Thanks

Well now I know the data plate is a replacement from some other vehicle. I will have to wait and see what is on the title.
I know the car is a Hot Rod but the classic lines of that year packard appeal to me and it was affordable.

Still working on putting together my 1928 526.
