According to my chart, Junior cars used Delco and My 48 Custom used Autolite. My Echlin chart gives CS-17 as your points, AL-869 as your condenser, AL-66 as your cap and AL-65 as your rotor. I bought all my tune up parts at NAPA.

I recently had the Old's pump kit installed on my 56 Patrician. I used the standard pump-not the high volume pump. The oil pressure went from mid gage to high and now I am pushing oil out the rear engine seal. Has this ever happened to anyone else? Any ideas as to why this happened?

I used the standard oil pump-not the high volume pump. The engine was rebuilt by the previous owner but I do not know if they did what Jack pointed out in his reply.

I put the Olds pump in my 56 Patrician because of the lifter noise issue. It increased the pressure-went right to H. The problem now is I am pushing out oil through the rear engine seal. Has this happened to anyone else?

It looks like his car was converted to stick. According to the dealer fact book, all Pacific models came with Ultramatic as standard equipment.

I was out in my 56 Patrician. When I came out of the store, I saw a man looking at the car. He asked if it was mine. I said yes. He then asked " What year Lincoln is it?",I guess he missed the bold gold letters that he was looking at that said PACKARD.

I show Echlin CS 17 but when I did my 48 Custom 8 I believe the gave me CS777A and they worked out fine.
