IT is a conversion done by Bohman & Schwartz, they would remove the running board add a rocker panel, two chrome strips, add a chrome stone guard to the front of the rear fender....cost about 60.00 for the pair, including paint job. Chrome headlight trim not part of the package.

The 1942 160 is a model 2055 Business Limo.(body 1590) or a Business 7 pass.(model 1591). Packard reduced the price of the std. 160 Limo./7pass. by removing some of the senior content. These cars came with jr. grills, jr. 1941 tail lights,1941 jr.dash plastic, and push out vent windows.and some other minor changes..The price reduction was about $154.00..All 1942 jr. convertibles came with turn signals as std. equipment, thus the reason to use the 2 bulb sr. tail light.....

Some history on the shield assembly,(front stone guard between the bumper and the body) It was added to the front of all 1941 Packards in Dec. 1940. The front license bracket was redesigned with another bend to clear the shield.Early lic, bracket part#362111, and new bracket for late 41s and 42s is part #373329............D
