Is there such a thing as a repair kit for the striker plates?

I had some of the same issues. I finally bit the bullet and bought a wiring harness fromhttps://www.riwire.com

it came with great instructions. I had never tried to do anything like that and in two days the car was up and running.

Well today I was looking at the front seat as it has been covered for sometime. Thinking I wonder how the back comes off. A gentle lift and this what I found plus a old penny.

I thought after getting a quote for the redo of the car I was interested in the paint color. I love the color it Is now and I won't change it as it is part of the reason I bought the car. But after looking at the paint charts I was totally confused on what it could be. Thanks for your information. Happy motoring.

Followed your idea about looking under name plates and under rubber . And it's the same under there also.
I've done the research on the owners back to the original owner. Who was quite wealthy. I'm starting to think he could have said. " love the car but not that color, let's paint it this" And away they went.
Knowing that it cost more than double of the cost of my folks first house. That might be a theory.

Thanks guys! I think I'll have to do some on the car research. Because there has to be spots that haven't seen the light of day.
