Howard that is just what I was looking for. Your picture shows a KR Wilson engine Stand with a Packard 8 adapter. I got the stand, now if I could only find the adapter.
Thanks again

Engine rebuild stand

I am thinking about rebuilding an 120 engine that came with the car when I bought it.
Question: What is a good engine stand to rebuild a 30's Packard straight 8.
I have a KR Wilson stand for Fords and I have heard that there was an adapter but I have not seen one
At this point, I am old & fat and I don't enjoy wrestling with an engine on a bench or hanging in the air so I need a stand that you can turn.
Thanks
Will

The Optima red top came with the car, been running it for two years, opened it up under the seat to see what it looks like, never touched it again.
Also I have a cut out switch so it turn off all the power when it under the cover
Hope that helps

Had the same issue in the spring, especially when hard braking ( it would change lanes ) bad wheel cylinder leaked fluid on the shoes. Buddy said that it would be hard to get all the brake fluid out of the polluted shoes, replaced them, solved the problem

Sorry, I did not want to offend any Big/Senior Packard people. I have had my car for less than a year, could not afford a Big Packard, but wanted one for myself.
Sorry again, I watch my post more carefully

as a newbie I don't know if this is relevant, the guy I bought my 120b from said that he had an R11 from a 48 Packard overdrive transmission installed. The thing just run down the road 65 70 75 mph with out a care
Hope that helps

Does anybody know of a tender that will work with a 6V gel cell ( optima )?
Purchased an expensive tender only to find that the direction say it should not be used for gel cells
