my highly biased and I hope inoffensive comment: If you are seriously considering a 41-48 Packard Convertible, the restoration budget can bear the white wall cost or go with blackwalls. Whitewalls were optional, so blackwalls are also authentic. There are fans of both looks.

I had a very carefully installed set of portawalls on a 41 Plymouth years ago - they looked OK so long as you never hit a curb and cleaned them with Blechwite at least once a week. I would not consider them for a Packard.

there are several ways to do mottled plastic coloring - today as then. I'm sure Jerry at Yesterday's could do it. it involves using multuple pigments and incomplete mixing.

Didn't mean to imply that 67 doesn't mean houndstooth. This export car apparently had houndstooth in an Eight Deluxe. Out of curiousity, what is the door trim on the inside? The door panel and the window garnish differ.

the houndstooth upholstery was normally in the Eight, and striped in the Eight DeLuxe.

I would suggest you have the car appraised so that all involved feel a fair value has been assessed. Mr Crook in Washington has sold many Packards and may be a good resource in your part of the country.

painted fiberboard.
If you need the vinyl, the brown with black in the grain,is of course matching the bottom of the doors. I found an excellent match at an upholstery store. The "Spanish grain" two color gets you in the right section of their book.

and those other wonderful Citroen features:

No, my 2CV doesn't have a broken tie rod, it just looks that way at wheel lock

"wring the goose's neck" shifter on the 2CV

"twist the beer can" control on Cx

"DS" was a clever name, as the phoenetic in French is dee-esse = goddess

CX was for its aerodynamics - the drag coefficient is normally Cx

they are most easily distinguished by the front of the base: the Clipper cormorant base still has the stylized bulb of the base ornament visible. The bathtub one does not. The bathtub one is unfortunately for you much more commonly found.

I've seen a similar "venetian blind" on a 47 Custom 8 sedan
