Not mine, Facebook listing in NC, $3500, might not be too bad of a car, too bad it's not a 3spd/OD. Says engine is stuck.

So I’ve sourced an NOS tailpipe but have been having trouble getting it shipped cross country at a reasonable rate. It seems to go from around $600 to over $1200 which is ridiculous for something that weighs under ten pounds! Even though it’s only a thin wall 2” diameter pipe, it is 127” long and is over the limit of FedEx and UPS. I am open to ideas or if anyone is planning a trip from the east to the west and do not mind stopping in Indiana, I would love it if it could be picked up and brought somewhere closer!

Don, could the seller match mark the tailpipe in the center, and then just cut it in two? It would be easy to weld up with a MIG welder, line up the match marks and weld. That would make it a little over 60 inches.

CAUTION: Old man spouting old memories, read at your own risk.
Wow, back in the late '80s/'early '90s, we used to buy running '57 Clippers for around $600-$800 and pull the supercharged engines & trannies, rear sway bars, and finned brake drums (and rear axles if they were Twin Tractions) out of them and get rid of the rest. Made good transplants into other Studebakers. (Please don't hit me.)

Free '53 or '54 Packard sedan on Facebook, located in Davisburg MI
Link: FREE Packard

Ad says '55, which I know it is not. I'm still learning the differences between '53s and '54s so excuse my ignorance please.

Note, this is not my car or ad, don't know anything about it!

Thanks Owen! I knew about the 'A' on the end, but didn't know about the paint code. So would the paint code letters actually be stamped on the serial number plate between the two number segments?

Item #9, 1954 Packard Caribbean Convertible, VIN: 5478CW2200A

Is that a Packard serial number with those extra three letters (especially the 'CW')?

That chassis/cowl/etc might be a good start towards a custom speedster.

Wat, so you are talking about the PAC National meet in VA in July? Didn't realize that was going to be in VA this year. That's only about 5 hours away from us in NC. Sweet, maybe I can make it!
