I don't know if this will help or even if I attached it correctly.

Thanks for the replies I have the guide and what confuses me is that it says we will accept finishing in flat black and that stove black is also a good finish to keep rust off the casting. I have seen pictures of black, silver, cast blast, semi gloss & rust, the intake and the exhaust also being different colors. I am hoping to get it correct the first time. I hope to start putting this back together in the near future. I do have the wire loom, horn bracket, and the air cleaner finished in a semi glosss black. The distributor, starter, generator, are also done in a semi gloss black. I do need to get the natural finish on the pulley nut for the generator.

Thanks again
Fred D.

P.S. Kev this is a great site thanks for all the fine work. I hope to provide some tech stuff for you in the future.

1940-120
Hello all

I am new to the forum, do any contributors have pictures on accurately detailing a 1940-120 engine? I have read some of the various other forums & input and would like accurate information. What colors are used where on this motor, I already have the Bill Hirsch green on the block. What finish is applied to the manifolds, what is plated,?
I will also be looking for small items that somehow disappeared.
Thank you

Fred D.
