Here is the start of my control arm (link) tool, took the shape off of craigs picture in packard panther.

I used a 12 ton press, its 3/4x1, not set up to harden it, might use u clamps to hold it to link. or 2 plates and 4 bolts.

that's my 400 its on

thanks very much , craig,

the engine is still out of mine, so it is easy to see,,the rubber torn, split, etc...

will i have a problem, if i replace the bushings with engine?,,,so much easrier,,

i have a complete, bendix, i got off a clipper, in a wrecking yard, years ago,, i wanted to get more off of it,,but,,didn't have the money,

not in the mood to put it on now..while i am thimking of it,,the trsns oil, we use is type (f) right?,,not (a),,

ok,

i was looking at steering gear,,,cause when you get on a road that is high in the middle low outside, the (lane),,my steering wheel goes half way up to keep car straight. or is that another problem..

i ordered some bushings ,,some the rubber is already cracked, these are moog.. made in mexico.

question, will buick bushings work?,, part no. 3-3101g,,summitt racing. the moog have a bump near flange, press fit?,, another does not have bump, but same part no.

the moog pt no. 8083,

ps the buick are polyurathane

but i am looking at sleeve if it is same size.

i found it easy to convert, the mallory uni-lite, to delco, my looks org. i use the same cap.

alum bronze cam bearing,, three to go,, me, mc kacken plumber,, 56 block sleeved.

the other cam, bearing is new, i got my od, from it,,had not been, crushed.

Henry..here is mine..its like 1/8 inch. But is smashed.. From rotor..

i think they are 1/4 inch thick. mine goes way down inside, i have seen some just below top of shaft.

Henry,

i would put in a surge protector,,or a voltage regulator, inline somewhere. Don't know pert. makes one one,,Mallory does for there unalite, which i have.

copper wire you can't use in calif. (interferance). I had to get stainless wound.
