I have checked 2 springs, mine, and one from pac sw, both 1-15/16ths,

I think instead of going off spring, it would be more standardized , to say leave x amount of spring sticking out end of valve body,

At this, writing, ross, said, about 1/8 inch, sticking out of valve body end, direct shift shim 1/8 inch.

as hot as it got, yap, it might of galled the push rod seat, I cleaned all them, but did not really inspect them,

no problems, with straight (one piece) shaft,

solved the rear main leak, nos rope,, felpro does not work,

liters,

engine cold, no problems,,,warms up, #6,4, clack, this is where head cracked, got hot, back in 95,

so I am thinking lifter barrel is out of round, when I pull lifters going to check, I sorta think lifter is getting stuck in barrel . race the engine will stop clacking, back to idle clack.

the adapter for pan, can be made from t rail, ,my dads adapter for pan went thru fire, and is not sq,,

I guess that would be I rail
