I had to go back to the steel intake gaskets, manifold was not fitting right, and I even enlarged the holes..

I had a used set ..

hh,

after running, i was going to hook up green wire, the exhaust pipe was cool, but the starter was hot, (body),

i will look into the napa part,

thanks howard,

i don't have trans in, any idea on idle speed out of gear?,

just ran it again,, man it sounds nice, rumbles,,,

the connector for green wire at starter, came off, not much was holding it. so it will be off for awhile,

I did notice that the starter was hot, after running,

ok, IT RUNS,,,,,,,,

looks like it didn't have an idle,, that i guess was the problem,, i have by passed the ballast, using mallory coil that does not need resistor,

i did change the condenser , to an old one i had, green wire is off starter,,,,

but it has to be the idle screw was down, using used lifters, they did start to clack, bottle P L ,,they went quiet,

oil pressure, needle left of center dot, i did video it, sounds great,,,,straight pipe.........ran for over an hour... high idle, they said 2500 rpm,

thanks everyone.............on to the trans now.....

ps when it started i kept my foot on acc,,it ran,,,,let off,, it quit..........will know tomorrow, i will put it back stock..
