When I got mine the repros were steel, and about the same price too.I only replaced two. As you say. Not likely to come off any time soon.I didn't know some were copper. My old ones were steel. My car was built in late 51 Brian

The last owner of my car was crippled so he installed power steering on my car.I wish to change it back.I have the drag link. But do not have any of the other parts I will need.I think I will need the ,Ilder arm, pitman arm,and both inner control arms. Also a few bits and pieces.Am I right? I will need to come up with those parts as well. Brian

Big Kev, you are correct there are two places to fill. But I must confess the other cover .ie the dip stick was still in. maybe a goof on my part.I must add I was a tad flustered by that time.Actually for a couple of nincompoops we didn't do to bad. The power antenna is in!!!!The prob was of course this car was built long before any of us were born.We did get more fluid in ... I wont tell you how. BHW

Sorry Carl, I forgot, the converter should have plugs 180 degrees apart. loosen one then take the other out to drain. Brian

Carl, If the threads are questionable just JB weld them then retap.JB is very strong under compression. If you are not satisified with them, heli-coil. BHW
